FDs' Excellence Awards
The FDs’ Excellence Awards recognise the best-performing finance directors from quoted and privately-owned companies in the UK, as well as the service providers that support Britain's finance community

The FDs’ Excellence Awards are the biggest national programme celebrating excellence in financial management. Last year, the top prize of FTSE 100 FD of the Year went to Richard Pennycook, the chief financial officer at supermarket group Morrisons.
"Finance directors and CFOs have a unique position and crucial role in driving a resilient, profitable business," said Michael Izza, the chief executive of ICAEW.
"The FDs’ Excellence Awards set the gold standard for financial management in the UK economy. Across the public and private sector, the candidates and winners exemplify rigour and excellence. They are role models for the next generation of British businesses and their board rooms."
Finance directors can be nominated or can nominate themselves for one of the following categories:
Young FD of the Year – This is for someone under 40 who can "speak the language" and has, on more than one occasion, saved the day.
Private Company FD of the Year – This award is for FDs who don't say "no" to a challenge.
FD of the Future – Promising future FDs who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
If you or your FD has got what it takes to take home one of these awards, nominate today. Entry deadline is Friday, March 2.
Event organiser Real Business is also inviting people to rate the service provided by banks, auditors, financial software firms and other key service providers by completing its Satisfaction Survey. Last year, almost 1,000 business leaders completed this important national barometer of service delivery to UK businesses.
More information and full category criteria and can be found on the FDs' Excellence Awards website. The awards will be held at the London Marriott in Grosvenor Square, London, on Thursday, May 24.
