Construction
The construction industry is vital for the UK's economic growth. It creates and maintains infrastructure for the present and future, and is a major contributor to GDP, accounting for 8% directly and 13% in total
The CBI believes that government and industry can work in partnership to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of infrastructure delivery. The industry has a vital role in helping reduce carbon emissions from buildings and ensuring infrastructure can withstand a changing climate. Investment from both the public and private sector is essential to help drive growth, create jobs and ensure long-term competitiveness. The CBI Construction Council enables the sector to speak with one voice to ensure that this happens.
