Andy Scott Director of UK Operations
Andy Scott is responsible for the work of the CBI's 13 regional offices in the UK
He joined the CBI as a policy adviser in 1973 and has since
worked on a wide range of issues including education, energy
policy, smaller firms, technology, and manufacturing.
Andy became a CBI Director in 1991, initially with
responsibility for manufacturing competitiveness. In the 1990s he
assumed responsibility for international trade and investment
activities, and during the 2000s was responsible for establishing
the CBI's overseas presence in Washington, Beijing and New
Delhi.
In his current role as Director of UK Operations, he has been
responsible for developing the CBI's regional and membership
offering.
He is a member of the CBI Management Board, a board member of the
China-Britain Business Council and a director of PSL Ltd.
